No way… “There are no borders. We cross them in our dreams, desires, and imaginations. Memory-a vehicle. We move from reality to fantasy and back again several times, as long as it takes to create vivid stories from real life “(psychologist E. Loftus).
AND WHY not understand it ? They can be loved, nurtured and nurtured, treated like a woman and actively interacted with. What's the use of understanding if we can't interact? The area of the unconscious is a large part of our psyche. In it, in particular, lies the entire physiology-body management (heart-beat faster, white blood cells-forward, etc.). The other part is our motivations, desires, prohibitions, imprints, scripts, templates, phobias, etc. However, it is not a fact that the content of the unconscious must be “understood”, that is, brought to the realm of consciousness. In principle, psychotherapists are engaged in excursions into the unconscious, but this journey is only necessary to solve the client's problems in areas. There is a lot of complex confusion in the unconscious, and sometimes it takes years of painstaking work to solve just one problem. And sometimes, as a result, a lot of things “pop up” that the client would prefer not to know about himself at all.
Also, the results can be very ambiguous. For example, many of the creative people (Tsvetaeva, for example) they draw inspiration from their injuries. And this, IMHO, is a big moral question – what choice should I make if it were possible – just another “healthy member of society”, or a suffering genius poet? That is, as a result of “understanding” you obviously become a different person, only you may not like it yourself.
In general, I would not recommend going there just “out of curiosity”. And if there are problems in your life that you want to try to solve, you are welcome.
