American psychiatrist and psychologist Edwin Schneidman, in fact, the founder of suicidology, said that “only those who firmly believe that suicide is an impossible solution to problems can work with suicidal patients.” This is good prevention when you realize that taking your own life is not an option, and for a variety of reasons: whether religious or ethical. Suicide should not be considered at all. It is very difficult, in my opinion, to convince yourself of this. There are no people who would never have thought about suicide, but if this thought came, and it is obsessive, do not expect to cope on your own. Go to a psychologist, at least.
