I would not call publishing works on non-core resources drawing “to the table”. Still, “to the table” is something that no one sees.
And third-party resources are popular because artists need to look for projects, jobs, and customers. On specialized resources, most often the same artists look at the author's work and this does not bring much benefit, except for likes and comments.
