  1. It is not clear how to answer this question, because it is necessary to clarify for whom it is dangerous and how much modern philosophy.
However, I will answer somewhat unexpectedly. The most dangerous modern idea is the idea of happiness. At least for the individual, and possibly for society.
The extremely obscure but attractive concept of happiness today is juxtaposed with the idea that it must necessarily be in life and at the same time that it depends only on the person himself.
It is hard to imagine something more destructive for the inner life. This idea of happiness makes you blind to chance and luck, teaches you not to appreciate other people in your life (which destroys one of the great feelings of gratitude) , and finally makes you permanently guilty (of not being happy enough).

  2. Fear is a vice of the devil, and it has nothing to do with subjective reasoning. Drive away your fears and do good. Still live in harmony)

  3. I have repeatedly stated that there is no such thing as modern philosophy. There is a study of the works of ancient sages and on this basis many people, mistakenly, consider themselves “philosophers.” Philosophy is the love of wisdom, wise people, most often gifted by nature, and not people who study history. A true philosopher sees the future! There can be no ideas in philosophy; philosophy itself is wisdom. And if there is no wisdom, there is no philosophy!!! With respect

  4. The most dangerous thing in modern philosophy (as in any philosophy) is the practice of philosophy itself. After all, it allows you to see what is really there: in you or in your life. Most often, this is a very unpleasant sight. It takes some intellectual courage to look at your life dispassionately. “Don't cry, don't laugh, don't hate, but understand” — B. Spinoza.

  5. This is a statement of the fact that everything is meaningless. That reason has no value, that human life is a random combination of atomic movements. That truth and other great concepts have no meaning outside of kitchen appliances. simplifying weight gain.

If people broke away from everyday problems and thought about this idea, it is not known what would become of society. Fortunately, most people perceive philosophy as the thinking of crazy idlers.

  6. The most dangerous practical idea in philosophy is that –

you can very weakly and unproductively continue to work for centuries on the unfortunate principle – “it will come down as it is, this will be enough for our century, even after us there will be a flood.”

Specifically, philosophy can and should work many times (and orders of magnitude) more efficiently and productively, solve actual practical problems of life (and not just conjunctural party and political problems).

Philosophy can and should become a leading science, as it has been planned since ancient times, and “stop trailing at the tail of all sciences.”

The best philosophers gave a model of work to follow.

  7. Hello.

I think the most dangerous idea in philosophy, not only modern, but in general any, is arrogance, the loss of the fear of God. I know everything, I can do everything.

Another danger is the rush into the unknown wilds, where “Makar did not drive calves”. Where can a person's mind go if they don't have a solid foundation of faith? And where can a person not visit if he is not accustomed to sanity!

Why, that's what philosophy is for, to think straight. And if we reject both logic and ethics, where will we end up? Here is Nietzscheanism, here is transhumanism! From one came to the ideas of Nazism, and from the second and look, instead of people, robots will appear or mutants of some kind! What's the sanity here? One madness!

If a person is passionate about philosophy and begins to think about himself, it is better to do practical things and at least temporarily leave philosophy classes. All the troubles on earth are caused by human pride. Philosophy should not lead away from faith and sanity. This is the main criterion. The Apostle Paul writes in this way: take care that you are not carried away by empty conversations and philosophies that are not from Christ, but from this world. Christ said: I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

The Apostle John adds: if anyone comes to you but does not share this teaching (Christianity), then do not receive him into your house and do not greet him, for he who receives him participates in his evil deeds.

And the Apostle Paul instructs us this way: if we ourselves, or someone else, or even an angel, were to tell you something other than what you have received (what you have believed), then reject it (“let him be anathema”)!

So, if the teaching is not against God, our Lord Jesus Christ and His Church, then it can be taught and used in life. And if you are against it, then you must reject that teaching. For, as the Saviour says, what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? Or what ransom will a man give for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of me and my words in this corrupt and sinful world, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory with his angels.

Be reasonable, dear readers, and protect yourself from harmful teaching! Stick only to the true word with the Christian teaching of the consonant!

  8. Transhumanism is the doctrine that man is not perfect at all and that his evolution continues. Moreover, it needs to be promoted in every possible way, to modernize your mind and body in order to eventually turn into a “transhuman”, for which we will be about the same as for us – pithecanthropes. The idea that this will happen has been around for a long time. It is enough to recall the same Nietzsche with his “superman”. But transhumanism as a mature teaching appeared already in the middle of the last century – when both philosophical thought arrived in time, and progress made it possible to move from abstract dreams to concrete projects. Their main goal is to prolong human life, as well as improve the person himself. Methods range from the most modest (healthy lifestyle, development of prosthetics or harmless nootropics like “glycine”) to the complete rejection of the current body and the transfer of a person to a robot's body, or even in general an energy form. Transhumanists themselves (i.e., people who position themselves in this way) not so much. But in fact, all modern technology and medicine works to implement their ideas. Of course, they also have opponents. The most violent ones are, of course, religious figures and their flock. Not only in countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia, where they live according to medieval, in the opinion of a European, laws, but also quite “advanced” states of America and Europe are faced with a powerful clerical lobby, which is trying its best, if not to stop progress, then drive it underground. Any attempts to correct the shortcomings of the human body are perceived by them as interference with God's plan. However, so far they have retreated. If in those very Middle Ages many churchmen were hostile to any medicine (illness is a punishment from above, so you need to repent, not be treated), now they are on the defensive in matters of family planning, interference with human genetics and the right to voluntarily prolong (or, conversely, terminate) life. However, quite secular thinkers-for example, Francis Fukuyama, whose statement about transhumanism is included in the title of this article, are also harsh critics of it. In many ways, this criticism is true. After all, in the end, it is not clear at what stage of modernization a person will cease to be a person?
