They both die and rise from the ashes, only the firebird every spring, and the phoenix every 1000 years or so, both feed on fruits that give eternal youth:The firebird eats rejuvenating apples, and the phoenix eats pomegranates. Both birds have red and gold plumage, which glows and almost burns with fire, because according to many sources you can get burned about them.

    As for the differences: the phoenix looks like an eagle,the firebird looks more like a peacock. The firebird came to us from the Slavs. Researchers believe that it is related to the Rarog and the firebird, while others believe that the phoenix was its prototype. And the image of the phoenix itself is still in the tales of Adam and Eve, Egyptian myths,and in the tales of Herodotus.
