  1. It is worth determining what exactly is tasteless.

Usually, this term is used when someone or something does not correspond to someone's aesthetic preferences. These same tastes can vary depending on the place of residence, age group, property status, social status, etc. And even, in the end, from individual preferences of individual people. Thus, what can be called “bad taste”, someone will call it quite appropriate to his taste. Despite the fact that taste is capable of developing, it is never able to become absolutely “good” objectively. Over time, the taste that was considered “good” becomes obsolete. Or it may happen that the former bad taste becomes a sign of refinement.

When we say that aesthetic preferences are very different in a certain area, it tells about a certain dispersion in society, disunity, inequality. In Russia, many people continue to draw inspiration from the patriarchal dump of outdated concepts, while progressive people do not give up on something new. Perhaps this is the basis for the predominance of” bad taste”, albeit subjective.

  2. From spiritual poverty. A greedy person is an ideal representative of modern humanity who buys without much reflection. Therefore, this image is replicated.

In defense of the Brazzese people, I would like to add that the rest of the world does too. Even Scandinavians know how to dress badly, decorate apartments tastelessly, and so on.
