The concept of “good” is a purely social concept. A person knows from childhood how to make himself pleasant or useful, but the criterion of “good-bad” is determined exclusively by the society in which he lives. Unfortunately, the instincts of a reasonable person do not always have time to adapt to the increasingly complex and changing social order. The result was the emergence of morality, expressed in religion, laws, ethics, which answers the question of what is good (i.e., necessary for the normal interaction of an individual with society) and bad (hinders the survival of society).
So anything you can do to make the society you live in thrive is a good thing.

    Mayakovsky will be responsible:

Tiny son came to his father,

    And asked tiny:

    “What is good

    And what is bad? “

    I have no secrets,

    Listen up, kids:

    Dads are the answer

I put it in the book.

“If the wind tears the roof,

If the hail has stopped rolling –

    Everyone knows: this is here

    Bad for walking.

    The rain dripped and passed,

The sun in the whole world –

    It is very good

    Both big ones and children.

If the son is blacker than night,

There's dirt on my face –

    Clearly: this is very bad

    For the baby skin.

    If the boy likes soap

    And tooth powder –

    This boy is very cute,

    He does well.

If a bad brawler hits you

    A weak boy –

    I don't want that

Even put it in a book!

This one here shouts: “Don't touch it

    Those who are smaller!” –

    This boy is so good,

    Just a sight to behold!

    If you broke a row

    A book and a ball,

    The Octobrists say:

    Bad boy!

    If the boy loves work,

He points a finger at the book,

    About this write here:

    He's a good boy.

From the crow to the toddler

    Ran away, zaohav, –

    The boy is a coward,

    This is too bad!

This one, even though he's a little taller,

    Arguing with a fearsome bird:

    Brave boy, alright,

It will come in handy in real life.

This one got into the mud – and I'm glad,

    What a dirty shirt!

They say about such a person:

    He's a bad slob!

    This one cleans valenki,

    Washes his own galoshes -

    Although it is small,

    But quite good!

    Remember this, every son,

    Know, any child:

A pig will grow out of a son,

If the son is a pig!”

    The joyful boy went,

    And the baby decided:

    “I will do well,

    And I won't be bad!
