Determinism in Laplace's definition turned out to be a beautiful myth after the discovery of quantum physics. This topic is already closed. The world is not deterministic. Or you can put it another way — the world is deterministic in a certain range of errors that grow over time. In fact, it is ruled by the Lady Probability (for advanced ones — the wave function), realizing its random states from the chaos of possibilities (phase space). Consciousness does not like this very much, since it is brought up by Logic, with its strict morals.
