In my opinion, this word can exist in the text as a metaphor, like the vast majority of words in the Russian language. After all, the accuracy of the metaphor, its relevance depends not on the word itself, but on the writing skill of the person who will “play” with conditional “microbes” in his text. The better the author's command of the language, the richer their imagination and background knowledge, the more interesting and vivid their metaphors, epithets, personifications, and other tropes tend to be.
