Raskolnikov did not take into account the fact that even “those who have the right” by their human nature cannot remain without submission, even if invisible. This is his mistake. Therefore, there is no division into creatures that tremble and have the right, alas, this is the greatest desire of a person — to become a person who has the right, to have power over someone (here it is closer to Freud with his three unshakable human desires, but I digress), anyone, but, unfortunately or fortunately, will achieve it in different ways, it is also necessary to take into account that everyone wants different kinds of power. But in spite of everything, we all remain like children who need sometimes strict, sometimes gently stroking the invisible hand of power over us, no matter how much we deny it.
It all depends on the person's worldview and his attitude to any philosophical trend.
For example, Raskolnikov's theory was based on Nietzsche's philosophy and his “superman”. If you are a fan of the works of this philosopher, then, of course, the fact that Raskolnikov's theory is true is not in doubt.
However, if you are closer to Freud or Kierkegaard with his existentialism, then the idea of dividing people into some groups will seem absurd.
I, personally, am not a fan of this theory, despite the fact that it seems very logical.
But how do you identify these people who are driving progress? This is the main problem.
Our literature teacher gave us the task of finding group 3 of the theory of R, which Dostoevsky writes about. This group includes lower people who think they are higher. Raskolnikov says that this part of people is even more despicable than the lower ones, because not only does it not fulfill its function, but also prevents the higher ones from creating.
In my opinion, this group shows the main disadvantage of Raskolnikov's theory.
