If to speak not so much about the influence of the study of philosophy, the emphasis on which brings me to thinking about professional deformation and has little relation to the actual subject of philosophy or, to put it still on the influence the very philosophy, it can change a person indigenous , since the things she does are fundamental to all human existence.
Philosophy teaches us to live in the unknown, to be fundamentally open to the world, to discover the innumerable prerequisites for their existence behind things, and to use them more confidently to navigate what is happening and set boundaries for the future. True, this also usually means loneliness, because the world that you have been discovering in the obvious for some time is very different from the everyday life of people around you, including those who are quite smart, and this causes disagreements that you do not always have the time/strength/desire to overcome.
If we talk about me, then I literally (a constitutional feature of my body) get high from the fact that over time I remove one question after another, going in my perception to once unthinkably deep levels and each time marveling at this opportunity to see everything more smoothly and effectively.more clearly. So, reducing the intensity of the pathos of the above, I will end my answer with the irony that philosophy may have simply given me the opportunity to somehow justify my eternal pursuit of another dose of truth. Sapere aude!
In fact, the “study of philosophy” only leads away from life in the mud of abstractions. But practicing philosophy transforms and changes your life. Unfortunately, in higher education, philosophy is studied as a set of concepts and theories (i.e., reduced to knowledge). And philosophy is NOT knowledge. This is a set of” constructions ” (concepts — Guattari, Deleuze) that takes us to another, more meaningful and organized dimension of life. And then a lot happens: we find our own business, meet people who are close in spirit, and realize our plans. Otherwise, practicing (not studying) philosophy as a” smart state ” (not knowledge) allows you to live a life worthy of living.
Well, I actually learned to think. Think much better than those who do not use the methods of critical comprehension of reality. And this helps to avoid many mistakes and losses in reality.
Studying philosophy helps you throw out rose-colored glasses and try on others. Every time we try on a new pair of glasses, we become more and more convinced that everything is fine with our vision and that we don't need glasses at all.
No way. Philosophy in the broadest sense is useful only for philologists in the glue bar. I would come up with all sorts of abstruse bullshit and say, “You know how Hegel wrote…” And say things that the drunk man himself just came up with, and everyone was like, “Wow, yes, yes.” Because it's f* * k, but once this f* * k was said by Hegel, it's not f* * k anymore. In general, it makes sense to read only Aristotle and Plato. Or Descartes, because he explains Aristotle in simpler terms. And all the Proto-Hori, etc., were essentially debating around their ideas, just like modern philosophy. From a practical point of view, it is useless.
From personal experience? As a tech geek at heart, studying such a discipline as philosophy taught me one important thing: to look for a rational grain in any teaching or doctrine. It is impossible (at least for me) to remember the whole volume of other people's thoughts and the world order, so I had to compare the incomparable, systematize and generalize, highlight the main thing – the very tsimes. So the discipline of “Philosophy” is arranged that in almost all textbooks there is too much water and distractions on the pathyashnoe. I wanted clarity and order, which I had to create for myself by creating tables. An important skill, but not the only one. The second discovery of philosophy for me is the realization of one simple idea: “all people are different: they think differently and act differently – you can't be offended by them for being who they are.” A simple thought, but awareness, and most importantly acceptance, made my life easier.
The expansion of the field of context with which the mind operates has led to a curious phenomenon. The answers to a number of questions that were completely deadlocked in the past have become something obvious, from the category of – well, how else. It would seem that the hypothetical theory of the evolution of society as a second kind of intelligent being has nothing in common with why, if there is a God, there is suffering in the world? And why is Dad mad at me, because I'm good? But podizh you,)))
