We don't know what space is, and we don't know what it consists of. But we are trying to solve this problem. We've been trying since Zeno wrote his own books.Aporia 25 centuries ago.
We already know that space does not exist separately from time and together they make up a four-dimensional manifold-a space-time that is filled with energy/matter and can vibrate, twist, rotate, bend, contract and expand. The scale of searches for structural elements of space is shown in the figure below.
To date, we have reached distances comparable to the size of quarks (~10-1⁸ m) and have not detected any spatial anomalies. String theory predicts the structure of space from Planck distances (~10-3⁵ m). At the same distances, a “quantum foam” was expected to exist according to modern quantum field theory. However, recent results from the Chandra X-ray Space Telescope detecting quasars billions of light-years away have ruled out the “quantum foam” model. Photons from distant quasars were bound to diffuse through the foam of space-time, like light scattered through a fog. The Chandra group found no such scattering events.
However, there is no reason why space-time should be absolutely smooth and one should be patient and wait for a breakthrough in string theory or quantum gravity.
Space does not consist of anything, only matter can consist of something, and space is an object that contains matter, which has an infinite extension in any direction, no more or less.
If you are trying to give space some other properties, then it is no longer a space. Trying to combine space with time is just a model, it is not a real space.
Attempts to twist, rotate, twist, and bend space come from a misunderstanding of the fact that space does not have properties that can rotate, spin, and so on. This should be enough to discard such inferences.
It would seem that it is easier than to define space, but the uncertainty in this issue generates a huge number of collisions over a long distance. Because many scientists confuse space with matter, and on the basis of these beliefs create illogical theories.
To say that we don't know what space is is to admit to our own failure to think logically. To have more than one value is to have no value at all. This is the principle of the scientific method, which comes from logic, if you give something different meanings and even more so say that there is no meaning at all or we do not know it, then how can you move on in knowing the world? As a result, you will get confused in your own reasoning and will not be able to unambiguously convey your conclusions, because the person receiving the information may not understand you as you put it yourself. Thus, “deaf phones” over a long distance will generate a lot of conclusions that will be greatly distorted, this can no longer be considered a science.
We are currently seeing a similar trend. People got confused in their conclusions, generating things like space-time, string theory, dividing interactions into strong and weak, carpuscular-wave dualism, dark matter and dark energy. All this is the product of scientists who have moved away from the scientific method, violating simple principles, turning science into poetry.
Marxist philosophical materialism teaches that there is nothing in the world but moving matter, which can only move in space and time. Consequently, space and time represent objective forms of the existence of matter. Space and time are not separable from matter, and matter is not separable from them. In contrast to subjective idealism, which considers time and space only products of human thought and separates them from matter, materialism asserts that time and space without matter are devoid of any content.
Natural-scientific ideas and concepts about space and time are changing and developing. But the fact remains that nature exists only in time and space.
