Yes, it exists if we are in the position of materialism, not idealism or solipsism. I.e., we believe that the world around us exists regardless of whether we see it or not, and also that matter is primary, and consciousness is only a consequence of the organization of this matter.
Time is a form of physical processes. Do you remember the puzzles from school? For example , a stone with a mass of m1 began to fall from a cliff, after 3 seconds a stone with a mass of m2 with a rolling friction coefficient of K began to roll down the slope of the same mountain… etc.
Time describes the order of physical processes that occur. Living or intelligent matter is not necessary for the existence of time. For the existence of time, the possibility of changing matter is necessary.
Living and non-living matter is a conditional division.
All matter consists of the same “building blocks” and obeys the same physical laws.
Time exists because matter exists, and space itself exists for the same reason.
We can assume that time and space are a manifestation of matter.
Matter moves, i.e. it changes in time and space, and there is no other way, we did not invent it, we discovered it, i.e. we knew it.
Yes exists as a property of any matter. A person only learns this property and uses it. But the property itself existed even before the appearance of man. Temporary rings on tree trunks – this is not invented by humans, for example. The phenomena of simultaneity of events or their earlier or later manifestation are also not invented by people. Why is the question of the existence of time without a person often raised? First, time is a difficult property of matter to understand. It is difficult to visualize it visually, unlike simple material objects. Second, time does not exist by itself, like material objects. It is only a property of them. Time reflects the sequence of passing through various stages of material processes. And this is not easy to understand, as it is a rather complex phenomenon.
In general, time was invented by people to make it easier for them to evaluate the sequence of events in their lives.
I read somewhere that outside of the human mind, everything happens at one point instantly, all events are interconnected in the universe and are not delimited by time intervals.
Time is a property of matter, or rather a property of interacting matter, which allows us to compare different stages-periods-cycles-and the entire course (development) of the interaction process.
Like space and energy, it refers to the basic inherent properties of Matter, refers to the concept of Measurability in the scientific method of cognition.
This is a completely objective concept, completely independent of the Observer, of “intelligent” matter.
Does…exist? This means the same thing as asking-is time an objective concept or a subjective one? But this can also be attributed to the concept of distance. If distance is a measure of the distance of objects, or just conventional points, from each other, then time is a measure of the distance of events from each other, their periodicity and relative duration. Both the time-measure and the distance-measure appeared with the beginning of the Big Bang.It is obvious that at that moment there should be no non-living, and even more so intelligent matter.
