A popular expression is ” the road to hell is paved with good intentions.” It is with intentions. This is usually said in cases where you wanted to do the best, but it turned out quite the opposite. Many infamous historical figures, who killed a huge number of people, wanted the best.
Many people mention this phrase, commenting on something like this situation
To become bad for a person
Always do everything for him.
Then don't do it once
And that's it – and you're already bad.
However, the true meaning of this saying is different. In the original, the phrase reads as follows:”The road to hell is paved with good intentions, the road to heaven is paved with good deeds.”
This means that THINKING about doing a good deed and DOING that good deed are not the same thing. If YOU THINK ABOUT IT, DO IT!
