  1. If you look at it from afar, Fromm's theory became a lever for misunderstanding, which, in turn, was designed to resolve the basic contradictions of human existence – between egoism and altruism, possession and being, negative “freedom from” and positive “freedom for”. Fromm believed that it is possible to overcome the crisis of modern civilization by restoring harmony between the individual and nature, the individual and society, creating a so-called “healthy society”

The second indignation was caused by the fact that, according to Fromm, modern man is exhausted – and this is the main danger of the era, because he is not able to think critically, is ready to accept any ideology and any leader who promises to bring meaning to his life.

A third corollary is that Fromm criticizes the prevailing market orientation based on the fact that the individual is transformed into one of the commodities circulating in the market. A person is seen as a commodity and sees his life as capital that should be invested. If you succeed, life has meaning, and if you don't, you're a failure.

Value = demand, and human virtues such as kindness, intelligence, etc. fade away and devalue, therefore, like a suitcase, a person must be in fashion in the market, and to be in fashion means to know, to have demand.

All of Fromm's works contain weighty ideas that, when translated into our world, sound very logical, but not beneficial for the current situation. And the truth, as a rule, is always feared.
