I assume that to create a “mechanism” with such computing power, it will take a little more than all the matter of the universe.

According to the conditions, the Laplace demon should be able to store information with a detailed description of each smallest particle of the universe in one time interval and have the appropriate RAM parameters for simultaneously calculating the development of their basic physical characteristics in dynamics at any time in the future and/or in the past.

Imagine a hard drive that can store detailed information about the physical characteristics of at least every atom of matter it consists of. I'm not even talking about a processor that could calculate their exact state in the future/past based on this information.
