It is also Borges who has the idea of four (and in fact, three) repeated plots in literature: the Iliad (defense of the city), the odyssey (journey, search, return) and the suicide of God.
He himself cited Homeric works as a classic example. And the other ones you mentioned also contain one of the mentioned plots.
