  1. I'm far from an expert, but I'll answer as best I can. At first, as far as I can tell, the philosophical apparatus in Christianity was not very strong. Christian philosophy was created in polemics with pagans and Jews and apparently absorbed a lot from there. The philosophical system has many meanings, it is necessary for apologetics and for goal-setting, ideology, and so on. Without philosophy in general it is difficult and everyone has it in one way or another and all the more so it is necessary for a church organization it can probably be compared with the backbone or soul.
