One of the disadvantages of being left-handed is that they try to retrain you as a child to be right-handed. Some work, some don't. I couldn't be retrained. I hope that left-handed children are not being tortured now.
In ordinary life, there are no special pros or cons from this. Unless some things in our lives are sharpened for right-handers.
The only place where being left-handed can be a plus, and it gives you some advantages , is in sports.
