This scene is related to the actual gathering of guests and is the culmination of the plot, which in general explains all the events “before”: guests are buyers, GG Chris is the product, the Armitage family is the sellers. First, there was a demonstration of the “product”: the buyer looks, studies, and makes a decision. The next logical stage is the purchase, and the voting scene is directly bidding for Chris, disguised as a game. The details of filling out the cards are omitted, because they do not play an important role for the film, but the principle is clear: “whoever offers more, he bought a new body.”

  2. It was an auction where bingo cards played the role of billboards. Customers raised them at a certain amount. I think they also covered the numbers with their fingers to fill in the price.
