From my own experience. For beginners, the following books are suitable:
1) Grzegorczyk. Popular logic. Very clearly written.
2) Gusev. Short course of logic or Logic: lecture notes.
3) Bocharov, Markin. Introduction to logic.
4) Cousin. Practical logic.
You can also add logic booksAlexander Ivin. There are many of them.

From the works of Arthur Conan Doyle, from reading the famous “Da Vinci Code”, Nesbe can read, and in principle any other good detective story ( except Daria Dontsova and other toilet utensils).
