  1. Because by many songs, you probably mean pop music. Domestic music of this genre is worth its foreign counterparts. Why is this happening? Pop tracks have catchy, usually very simple “three chord” motifs and the same words. The less meaning there is, the easier it will be for the listener to remember. In addition, the waves that reach us are usually in a very primitive language, especially when it comes to English: there are very few people who really know the language, and the genre is designed for a wider audience.

    By the way, in my opinion, the smartest band, Bonabarte, sings in English sometimes switching to French and German.
