The question is related to shortcuts that smart people prefer to avoid. Studying science and philosophy led me to a point of view that can be called materialism. Empirical data and their interpretation lead to the fact that the universe appears to be a causal system, where natural laws rule. At the moment, there is no reason to believe that there are higher forces or other transcendental phenomena. It is impossible to be sure of this position, as the data is constantly updated, but this position is preferable for me, as it is the best tool for thinking.
