My subjective opinion is that the order in the workplace/home reflects the order in the head. We constantly choose to influence reality or let reality influence us.
It hardly affects cognitive abilities, but it seems to me that it is quite capable of thinking itself. If we allow disorder to exist around us, then why not allow that disorder to appear within us?
In the movie “Regions of Darkness”, the main character, for the first time feeling the effect of the pill and entering his apartment, immediately brought cleaning there. Yes, this is a feature film, but Eddie's desire to influence reality in an orderly way (under the influence of a pill that enhances mental abilities) was reflected even in such a small thing as cleaning the apartment.
