I will answer from a long experience of nightlife. In general, it's not a problem to occupy yourself, is it? At the very least, you can simply procrastinate (20 letters O_o).
The problem is that many very smart individuals have found out that their life time is limited and are trying to occupy themselves with various useful night activities: for example, you can read informative and interesting articles or books, listen to podcasts / read TheQ / blunt in TV shows / blunt in news / blunt in YouTube, etc. etc. – but NEVER DO THIS, if you have a downed mode, it is better not to do anything that strains the brain later than 12 o'clock in the morning, even reading at this time is much less useful, you just burn time. The wrong regime is evil, you need to sleep at all costs, try all the options – wean yourself from staying up later than one o'clock in the morning, because this is only harmful, you need to get out of insomnia before it becomes a serious illness. I go to bed at 4-5 in the morning, someone remove me from here so that I sleep, and do not write such answers.
P.s of course, you need to engage in any activities that help you fall asleep, for example, a great way is to play a musical instrument, I immediately cut down from playing the piano, can't you? no problem, buy a ukulele and learn, it's interesting, or listen to calm soporific music and try not to think about anything (I highly recommend the album Max Richter – Sleep) and even better, find a monotonous needlework, all this will help to distract from the endless stream of life events, information from the Internet and fall asleep…
Everyone has a healthy sleep.
It is quite simple – to take care of yourself, get new information, do things, procrastinate, work.
Do everything you do during the day with benefits, only at night.
If working at night affects your well – being, you can exercise physically, which helps you bring your schedule back to normal.
