I always thought they were married. It turns out not.I wondered if they had any intersections at all.

They were linked by an interest in theosophy and a shared environment. Nicholas Roerich painted the painting “Vestnik” in 1924 and dedicated it to Blavatsky. His wife Elena Roerich mentioned Blavatsky in her letters, see here: http://www.roerichs.com/Sodr/N33/12-1.htm
