  1. To fight something, you first need to find out the reason. Insomnia can be caused by so many causes, ranging from “big city lights” to serious neurological disorders.

    1. Now many people have sleep disorders, because they simply do not follow the regime – they go to bed as they should, and not +/- at the same time, watch TV at night, use electronic gadgets, etc.Melatonin is a hormone responsible for biorhythms in general, including the sleep – wake cycle. The production of this hormone directly depends on the light – the brighter the light, the less it is, because the body thinks that it is day outside and we don't need melatonin for sleep. Therefore, at night, your room should be completely dark – no moonlight and no glare from electronic devices in your face, i.e. no TV, computer, or phone. All this should be turned off and hidden 1 hour before bedtime. Simple, but very effective. Actually, a night blindfold for the eyes was invented for this. Remember that melatonin is also associated with anti-depressant and anti-cancer effects, so jokes about sleep and light levels are bad. Also, forget about stimulants at night, and in general with the onset of the evening-no coffee, cigarettes, energy drinks.

    2. Maybe you have depression, stress, or something else from the field of psychiatry.

    3. This may be a consequence of endocrine disorders, problems with the work of the cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal tract, etc.

I advise you to start with point # 1.

  2. The last time helps listening to headphones stand up performances, just audio, already at the 20th minute I fall asleep, and one record is enough for 5 nights.

Or I'm reading a book on my phone that I've lost interest in, but my perfectionism doesn't allow me to leave it unfinished.

There are also very popular breathing techniques on the Internet, there are many variations.
