Is it really possible to prove that an evil God is impossible?
As for me, this is not real. God could very well be a bastard. In this case, we are his helpless victims, with whom he can do whatever he wants, because he just can. He has the power, we don't, and we never will.
It is really possible to prove (and this is done by Descartes) that an evil god is unthinkable. This is not the same as impossible.
Consistent thinking, according to Descartes, is possible only if reality does not lie to us and is honest with us, and an evil unprincipled god cannot guarantee his honesty, so if we are just a toy in his hands, everything is meaningless, it is impossible to think consistently. So the only way to think of God's existence is to think of him as good, not evil.
You can't prove anything, but you can think it out.
So is God evil?
If you look from the Biblical point of view of the Old Testament, then reading there, it seems that God is really evil, (at least in human understanding), because destroying all people (the flood), destroying entire cities (Sodom and Gomorrah), destroying the firstborn (in Egypt, when the Israelites were in slavery), it seems that the good God does not smell. So why does it seem to a person from these events that God is evil? Because we look at God with a human eye, and we also require God to look at us with a human eye, but God is not a man, and therefore in the Old Testament He looked at people with a different look.
For God, man was just a fallen creation (after all, when a person creates a stool, and then breaks it, no one condemns this person, and they don't even put him in prison), but for some reason they always blame God, and for God, man was just dust (that is, clay).
in the sweat of your brow you will eat bread until you return to the ground from which you were taken, for you are dust and to dust you will return.
(Genesis 3: 19)
Woe to him who disputes with his Maker, a potsherd of the earth's potsherds! Will the clay say to the potter, ” What are you doing?” and it is your business [to say of you], ” He has no hands?”
(Isaiah 45: 9)
If you look from this point of view, it immediately becomes clear that God is not evil, because when a person mows the grass, no one considers him evil, that he kills the grass.
The voice says: proclaim! And he said, What shall I proclaim? All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field.
The grass withers, the flower withers, when the breath of the Lord blows on it: so the people are grass.
(Isaiah 40: 6,7)
According to the New Testament, God began to look at man differently, God loved man, and now he does not treat people in this way, which means that we can say that God is a Loving God.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
(John 3: 16,17)
First, the very concepts of “good” and” evil ” do not exist by themselves, but in some objective coordinate system that Someone has created and put into circulation. Accordingly, “good” is something right in this coordinate system, and “evil” is wrong. In this regard, to make the assumption that the Author of this coordinate system is “evil” is a logical absurdity, an oxymoron, such as”cold heat”. God is good by definition. The evil one may not be God, but a figment of your imagination, that is, the image that you yourself have given to God.
Secondly, God Himself proved to mankind that He is Love when, in the person of Jesus Christ, He bravely went to death, having every opportunity to avoid it, in order to take upon Himself the punishment that you personally objectively deserved for all your sins. He has already done this, and that is why He has already forgiven you, forgiven all your sins, because you are not punished twice for the same thing. This is true Love, next to which in our world nothing lay.
If you do not believe in this and continue to attribute evil to God, apparently not understanding something, then this is already your problem, and it will really be your very big problems, because the principle of just retribution for the evil done will be applied to absolutely everyone, it cannot be avoided. He who denies the only possible way out (deliverance from punishment as a result of Christ's self-sacrifice) spits into the well, cuts down the branch on which he sits.
This is a practical question. You just need to get to know Him better, and not indulge in unnecessary philosophizing. Reach out to Him for real, in your own words. Say that you are a sinner and that Jesus Christ is God who died for your sins. And that you accept His sacrifice in your life. This will be the starting point of your acquaintance.
The God Yahweh as a whole is a very interesting and principled entity, but He loves people infinitely. And I'm sure everyone should know that.
It is very simple to prove. God, as the creator of everything, determines existence and the concepts of good and evil. He is the Lawgiver and it is he who will judge everyone according to these concepts.
If God were evil (assuming you believe in His existence), then happiness would basically never be possible.
So the malice of God is not logical, judging by the fact that we have the right to choose, create conditions for ourselves to be happy, or be lazy and wait for someone to provide everything for us.
By the way, I must say that the conditions have all been there for a long time, you just need to work a little hard to get them.
People themselves often spoil a lot of things for each other, and then complain that God is evil.
Stupidly. It is very foolish to think that God is evil, while denying his power to achieve positive results and denying his responsibility for laziness that prevents these results from being achieved.
The amazing thing is that after blaspheming the true One,the Almighty, and as you say the evil God,you are still alive, and probably enjoy some benefits that you think you have achieved only by your own efforts, despite external circumstances. If God is evil,it is very surprising.
To create the most complex and perfect world, the Creator himself must be perfect. Evil is imperfection, destruction, defect, disease, parasite. It has nothing to do with God.
On the one hand, you can. After all, God shows us love, generosity, and otherwise we are to blame.
And my opinion is that this is almost impossible if you are certainly not a Christian.
The logic of Orthodoxy denies the possibility of considering God evil. In order to understand this, you need to understand how it all started.
Initially, God intended that He would create a perfect, beautiful world where the wonderful Adam and Eve would live. And everything would be nice, kind and fluffy! But this couple just did what they shouldn't do-they ate the forbidden raft. And here two questions arise: why was it necessary to launch this “challenge” at all, and why did they need to do it at all? Answer: he who does not know bitter things does not know sweet things. The devil told them that from the tree they would be like gods (and very importantly, without a real God!And people accepted it. By the way, this acceptance had a very fruitful basis, since people dominated most of paradise, they could use everything, they gave everything a name! To sum up, this apple was a necessary medicine, and the first people accepted it out of pride.

Then, instead of admitting that it was their fault, Adam turned to Eve, and Eve turned to the devil. Therefore, God could not forgive them, but He showed them a Great Mercy – in the future he will sendYour own Son in the agony of suffering!
To this day, people are born with original sin, are cleansed in Baptism, but still sin.
And now to the point…
Did your father or mother put you in a corner? Did the teacher give you a B? Now think about why. Yes, sometimes people do this automatically or out of anger. These punishments were intended for us to grow up to be an adequate person, for our future. Just like here! God is our Father, especially in our era (after the Birth of Christ). The Lord cares about our future life, eternal life, so that it will be in paradise, and not in the fiery gehena (which appeared just after our fall).
In general, everything is decided by a person's Faith. You can decide for yourself. God has given everyone free rein ,and He doesn't force anyone.
Goodbye!))))
