The author tries to answer rationally the questions that we usually answer under the guise of religion and tradition – why Hindus do not eat cows, and Muslims and Jews pigs, why in some cultures burned witches and who could be Jesus Christ. Like any good author, it is written at the beginning of the book that this is only an attempt at reasoning, and not the ultimate truth. And that's fine.
