First, realize that no matter how hard you train your brain, there is always a pepper that is smarter than you. Always, everywhere. You need to do all the same things that you did, but with a firm desire to understand, be able to understand, understand, disassemble down to the very molecules. There is such a verbal training: find yourself an unsophisticated interlocutor who will communicate on a topic in which you are competent, and give him answers to any question that he asks. Here it is absolutely, and so clear that there are not the slightest gaps in understanding. Our Soviet scientists used to say that if a scientist can't explain the science he is studying to a small child, then he still doesn't know enough about science. Good luck mastering your knowledge!
It depends on what you mean by “smart”. Only practice and experience help in life. The easiest spob is to read and I'm not talking about scientific literature, there are a lot of art classics, on the example of which you can analyze different life situations of the characters. In addition to books, there are movies/TV shows, the main thing is to find benefits for yourself, so to speak, to draw conclusions. Alternatively, you can get acquainted with the works of philosophers, ready-made arguments, do not forget that they were once the same people and do not follow everything that they write/say. However, there is no “smart” mark or achievement. These are my personal notes from 20 years ago 🙂 Live for a century and learn for a century.
