The dolphin is agnostic. Like many of the responders here, I met him when I was about 16… with the only difference being that I wasn't patriotic, I wasn't homophobic, I didn't think patriarchy was right, and I even shared the ideas of feminism… And I found his ideas, though obvious, interesting… But however, opinions change, under the influence of many factors. And mine changed. Dolphin, you're not agnostic. Don't lie to the public.
You celebrate feminism, you have no doubts.
You don't like “insidious two-faced meat eaters”, you have no doubts.
You don't give the truth, you only give your opinion.
You don't question your personal perception, you have no doubts.
No scientific data, no analysis. You accuse religion of simplifying things, but you do the same. You pass off your opinion as the truth, do not doubt or analyze. You're not agnostic. You're a liar.
Do not create idols, do not build your thinking on words. Build it on objective data. A non-agnostic dolphin is not one of these types of data.
Do you want to be agnostic? Then you must remember that any of the pillars of your thinking can collapse, and should if it is cracked. Don't ignore the cracks like the dolphin does.
So many negative comments.
First of all, what the Dolphin promotes and its worldview are by no means banal. They are not stereotypical. It sensibly considers a person's personality in terms of their mental abilities, rather than belonging to any race, gender, nationality, or sexual orientation. Unlike most!
The dolphin is not always loyal, even more so-those who do not fall under its criteria for assessing sanity are immediately met with a ban. But how can I stand you stupid people when you say that a woman is to blame for being raped, that homosexuals are not people, that a girl's place is in the kitchen?
To the dialog about children. It looks something like this: Dolphin: “Don't have children because they slow down or stop your development. Don't have children to make them better or better than you are. Develop yourself. Make yourself better!” – Questioner slowpoke: “Why not have children? I didn't understand. I want to teach them everything I can. I want them to become better than me and achieve what I couldn't.”
What pleases: The dolphin is not devoid of a sense of humor, which was often observed in his posts in the public; and, indeed, often he slips good metaphors, so it's just nice to read him.
I don't always agree with all his thoughts and ideas, but he is trying to make the world a better and kinder place. Let's at least leave him out of the way.
A couple of years ago, I was still that obscurantist. He dreamed of living in an eco-settlement, ate raw food, supported Putin's policies, was a patriot, a homophobe, a believer, was fond of esotericism, etc. Over time, I began to review some of my views and identify misconceptions. This process was very long, but one day I came across one of Dolphin's posts. I was interested in his public profile and immersed myself in reading all the posts in his old and new groups. The wall of my old worldview was bombed with new information, new ideas. A 180-degree reversal of the old worldview. I didn't agree with some of the posts, and I agreed 100% with some of them, but the main thing in this case was that I stopped being a fanatic of my views and started building the foundation of my worldview from scratch.
A dolphin is a person who sows the seeds of doubt in people's minds. And this is a great activity that deserves approval. It is people like Delfin who are changing the world for the better, and I hope that a future awaits us in which people will have critical thinking, and wars, the division of the world into states, religions will remain only in the history books.
His ideas are conventionally divided into two groups: those that seem reasonable-without claiming absolute truth, they make you think, and those that are narrowly presented with the position “only I am true”. The latter, of course, due to their bias, can hardly be considered worthwhile.
But all this would probably be even normal, if not for one habit of the respected Dolphin, which manifests itself here and there-manipulating the reader: sometimes by distorting the facts that please him, sometimes by telling only “about one side of the coin”.
The author of the public “Dolphin Agnostic” (Shaida Khidirov) has one advantage — he is quite honest. So he admitted that vanity is his main motivator. In this regard, this project has some originality, since among the left-wing projects aimed at teenagers, there are not so many built on the cult of personality.
Otherwise, it is a typical example of the “Social Justice Warriors” movement that has emerged in the West, that is, the “struggle for social justice”. These projects position themselves as “movements for all good things”, including anti-capitalism, anti-racism, body positivity, feminism, childfree, and the protection of “animal rights”. While there are few such movements in Russia, Khidirov managed to become one of the first in our country, which is partly why he is so popular (by the way, I advise you to read the public “Check Your Privilege”).
But back to the “Dolphin Agnostic”: the author claims that he teaches subscribers to doubt. But it does not teach them genuine doubt, nor does it teach them how to overcome cognitive biases, rational thinking, or scientific methodology. In this regard, “Dolphin Agnostic” is an excellent example of selling books on socio-political topics. Talking about taxes, social policy, anti-capitalism, Shaida does not build cause-and-effect relationships, but answers the questions that arise from literate people, quote: “I do not understand economics.” At the same time, criticism does not affect his views, he rarely makes refutations of posts, but the refutation always goes in the direction of consolidating the ideology of the public.
Instead, Shaida teaches her followers to hate previous generations, denying the fact that every decision in the past was forced and seemed the best. The author does not teach you to detect cause-and-effect relationships, because of this, the public delays teenagers in their development, postpones the process of achieving emotional maturity and forming a consistent picture of the world indefinitely.
Without much ado, I will say that I personally have already outgrown dolphin. Agreeing with the previous commentator, I note that his reasoning is as infantile as the problems he brings up for discussion. Saying that he was sowing the seeds of doubt, he did not even notice how he began to impose his point of view. In many posts, the dolphin leaves a certain shadow of doubt (for example, he will end the post with the phrase: “Or not…”), but in fact this is an illusion that he amuses himself (on a subconscious level).
As for problems, the dolphin's gaze is narrow. He does not see the world as it really is – for him there are only problems of homophobia, ecology, sexism and racism (mostly), if it concerns others, then rarely and casually.
However, there are also positive aspects. Indeed, the dolphin, at a certain stage, helps to understand yourself and look at the person from the other side. Dolphin with its worldview is a good base for a weak mind, the main thing is not to get stuck at this level.
I think many people take his posts too literally and do not filter the information they receive for themselves. Others are so saturated with all sorts of info-shit that they are already bored with posts about freechild, this topic does not cause them any doubt or interest.
Earlier, I got acquainted with almost all of his posts, something gave food for thought, something passed.
I like his views, I don't share them all, but since he positions them openly and easily, his page and public find their readers deservedly.
Well, this is a crazy person who has long been bogged down in his “humanistic” ideologies. There is no sign of agnosticism there. I would say that it is even harmful for weak minds.
I remember how on his page he poured bile on ancient Greek philosophers for the fact that their texts are too sexist… Well, here comments are superfluous.
Dolphin is a narrow-minded, child-corrupting hach, godless and maximalist. That's why I love you. In general, by the way, of all the “criticism” I did not see anything worthwhile, my God, how do you even see yourself from the outside? “everything is fine, but I DIDN'T WANT TO KNOW THE SIZE OF HIS PENIS” – were you forced to watch? and something turned upside down in your life when I found out? HE CRITICIZED PHILOSOPHERS FOR SEXISM, MDA” – and th epta? they can't be wrong? it's like “the earth is motionless”-“it's not so” – “well, here's a scumbag, on Aristotle drives”
I learned about it at the age of 16, when I didn't fully develop a worldview, but I was already able to think critically. So I agreed( more or less) with some of his ideas, and about the other, I thought that it was written by some rad. a feminist, because the message was the same. However, if you are happy. If you are a feminist, vegan, LGBT, etc., and you consider yourself the most disadvantaged and right-wing, then this character is for you. The rest of us won't lose anything by skipping his simple and beautiful posts.
When a person condemns in infinitely large categories, “exposes” everything around him, it is tiring. You say he cultivates an abiding skepticism, but aren't you tired of the cynics and agnostics all around? Ever doubting, ever revealing. Young people read this and quite realistically perceive this way of thinking, but as a result, it is evil thinking from scratch. Because when you want to talk about a big topic every time, there's a chance that you'll end up talking about nothing. So it is with the Dolphin. Example. We understand that you, brother, do not favor the Lord. And, as a true postmodern person, you don't like it just because. And this idea leads nowhere, because apart from irony, he has nothing to offer. The dolphin does not teach you to live in peace with others, it preaches a dull and selfish confrontation, condemnation, ridicule. And it does not lead to anything, its bile has no logical purpose.
And oh, tell me he doesn't enjoy the fashion wave. Or is it his idea to be an evil agnostic and talk about LGBT rights? Oh, come on, it was made up by teenagers. It is for them that these not generally outstanding arguments on popular topics are written, and nothing new is expressed in them, only ideas hanging in the air.
Yes, take Dostoevsky better read — that's where there is more wisdom, which is also less misanthropic.
He's fucking awesome. No matter how it sounds.
I like a lot of his ideas, but I still have to get to most of them myself.
I don't know why, but I can't blindly accept any new statement as dogma. I always doubt and think carefully.
Liberal and that says it all.
Do not read the remaining sentence, it is written here only for the sake of what would be exactly one hundred and forty characters, so and so.
It seems useful at first. Yes, the first time you see his posts, they somehow make you think. However, after a while you will realize that it is quite banal. But the Dolphin as a person is a disgusting asshole who does not accept other people's opinions, despite the fact that he considers himself a liberal. Very toxic, too.
This is just my opinion, I don't pretend to be true, and I don't see any point in entering into disputes.
I didn't know anything about this public or personality until today, I'm 26 years old and during my protest years I liked to watchMr. Freeman(а). As for me, the character is similar, but more profound. Dolphin is a budget version that claims to be the voice of reason, if I were 17-18 years old, I would be very happy to absorb every idea and quote, but higher education would spoil everything, so the idea is so-so. The project is speculated on hourly ideas and events that make no more sense than a beard, iPhone, and converse. At the same time promoting European values, which is not a bad thing, but without understanding the cultural accents of the country in which these ideas are voiced. Something about these “progressive” thoughts reminds me of John Calhoun's “universe 25” experiment, similar conditions, and the behavior repeats itself. Of course, we are human beings – “crowns of creation” and we can not repeat this, or can it ?
Just examples of his views, just for a moment. It is obvious that the dolphin is an infantile maximalist who builds the image of “nitakogo”, diligently tries to stand out from the ” gray mass “and earns popularity on the same”nitakih”. I think he is young, couldn't go to university after school and is studying at a vocational school, and also had problems with his parents as a child.
Once he rubbed out about the total harm of authority, saying that the elders simply peed into the vessels of the youth's mind, hammering dogmas, replacing all concepts, making the unfortunate people what they want them to be.
Then he posted on the wall the confession of a young man who, at the age of 14 or 16, suddenly, quickly, decisively realized his bisexuality, became a vegan, agnostic, childfree and whatever else, having become acquainted with the work of a dolphin.
(For the taut-for the kid, the unemployed man was the very luminary who urinated the convolutions).
I reminded delfin of his quote.
It was banned.
Everything, draw your own conclusions. Read better something more interesting, literature on your profession, real scientific articles, and not “nauchpop” or anything else…
But not a vegan blojik, still probably living off the occasional earnings of the idol of the young and zealous.
When I signed up for his post a few years ago, it was like a breath of fresh air. The dude calmly says that there may not be a God, tells all sorts of clever things and theories, simultaneously proving them. It was very impressive for my fragile mind.
Now, if you look at his ideas objectively, there are too many questions and complaints. I agree with the commentator above, he really looks like Larin, and this can not but annoy. Plus, the dolphin clearly puts itself above, much above the rest. Although there were posts where he tried to refute it.
And now I will analyze the ideas themselves. Of those that I like, I can highlight the following:
1) Agnosticism. And not only in relation to religion.
2) The need for self-development
3) Homophobia-bad, racism-bad, sexism (here it is worth making a reservation that he has a very narrow idea of what it is) – bad
4) As an addition to the previous point-personality is formed due to a certain influence of the environment, and not by skin color or belonging to a certain gender
5) Youthful maximalism is great
6) Sex before the wedding is the norm
There's probably something else, but I'm too lazy to search and remember.
But I have a negative attitude to:
1) Lack of authorities. Generally. You're so independent.
2) Too much “self”. You are not part of a nation, but a person. What a man. Don't you dare be proud of your ancestors, it's not your personal achievement. I think many people have seen the post about why not to celebrate May 9. So, I'm not a padded jacket, but I absolutely disagree with him.
3) Veganism, propaganda against alcohol and tobacco. In my opinion, this is a personal matter for everyone
4) The value of human life is overestimated. No comments here
5) Childfree. I won't argue, the Earth is overpopulated. Many people do have children mindlessly. But the dolphin's judgment denies the right to procreate in principle, and this is DISGUSTING
6) This is related to previous thoughts, but somehow there are too many thoughts that isolation from society is great. Your right, dolphin, but don't be surprised when society turns its ass on you, too.
I think everyone is entitled to a point of view. But the dolphin behaves like a prophet of the wrong day, it is too dogmatic and can seriously humiliate a person whose opinion is somewhat different from his. And this is bad.
P. I didn't include it in my list of thoughts, because I felt a little guilty. I can understand posts about masturbation, but about the size of the penis-too much. I didn't want to know the size of a dolphin's reproductive (oh, sorry, I don't know what adjective to replace) organ, but the number stuck in my head, thank you.
P. P. S. Dolphin is already reading the answers to the question and trying to justify himself on his page. Very funny, really, well.
The dolphin is useful only for those who do not share its views, but whose minds are ready to accept its seeds of doubt in their soil.
For the rest of us, I'm afraid it's a bit primitive. In addition, some of his views are somewhat infantile.
I like his graphics and the design of his posts in general. The format is convenient and pleasant.
I agree that he should have been a little more receptive to criticism. One of
the pros: ideas are conveyed in a light and rather structured form, and there are wonderful metaphors.
Sometimes it helps to put into words some thoughts that previously lived in a wordless form in my head, for example. For me, this is its main advantage, perhaps.
I would like Delfin to expand the range of topics over time and make sure that even those for whom his ideas were obvious for a long time do not lose interest in him.
Judging by his public profile on VKontakte, there are almost no complaints. In general, he has a good view of the world, but rather banal. And for some reason he thinks that almost uniqueness and one such.
But his VKontakte page is questionable. When I first got on it, my opinion of him sharply deteriorated.
