  1. As you know, Adidas was founded by two brothers: Adolf and Rudy Dassler. Having registered their shoe factory, they produced football cleats with spikes and already at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 they began to use them. Later, spikes were developed for running and for better fastening of the structure, the brothers suggested using two stripes on the shoes, which symbolized the two brothers. Then the war started. Rudolf Dassler ended up in a prison camp. Then the brothers quarreled over Rudolf's resentment towards Adolf. In the late ' 40s, Adolf and Rudolf split production, and Adolf named his company Adidas. The company developed, began to produce sports bags, suits. Before the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972, there was a rebranding. The new logo of the company was a shamrock with three corporate stripes in the lower half of the logo. Three sheets of paper showed a stylized world map showing the three continents where the company's products were being sold at that time. After the death of Adolf Dassler, the company rebranded again. The new logo of the company remains three stripes, only thanks to the slope they turned into a mountain-a symbol of overcoming the difficulties and challenges that athletes face.

  2. Adolf Dassler, the founder of Adidas, took two stripes from the logo of the former Dassler family factory, added another one to them and patented the resulting image as the official Adidas logo. The logo, made in the form of three stripes, was officially registered in 1949, this original Adidas badge perfectly fit into the sports style of goods and became easily recognizable on every sports attribute. The “three stripes” sign represents the movement of athletes up the stairs, and the Adidas logo is designed to remind you of the principles of sports shoe production formulated by founder Adi Dassler:

    • there are special shoes for each sport;

    • shoes should be strong;

    • equipment is needed to protect the athlete.

    At the very beginning, when the Adidas badge first appeared, it was applied exclusively to sports shoes, but later it was put on all the company's products.
