In my opinion, the most powerful critic of Christianity was the Greek philosopher Celsus, who wrote his famous work “The True Word” in the middle of the second century. In fact, all the arguments that he used at that time are repeated in various ways by critics of Christianity to this day, without adding anything particularly new to them. This work itself was, unfortunately, lost, but it was almost completely restored from the comments of the Christian thinker Origen.
