  1. If you mean wrinkles, then the reason for their appearance is due to loosening of the connective tissue lying under the skin. The normal structure of proteins that support the elasticity of the skin, including collagen, is disrupted, so “creases” called wrinkles appear in areas of the face with high activity of facial muscles.

    If we are talking about folds, then, obviously, we mean folds of subcutaneous fat, and the mechanism of their appearance is similar to the appearance of folds in any other part of the body.
