    Interesting task, let's try it.

    Arguments against:

    1. The need for religion is not the basis for life. A person can live without religion, a religious person can live without performing his religious cult and not die. Religion is not something that supports homeostasis.
    2. Historically, there are religions that have hindered the development of society, both socially and technically. But this is only a part of all religions.
    3. Historically, there have been religions that have encouraged people to antagonize each other on religious grounds. But this is only a part of all religions.
    4. Some religions try to give answers to questions that have no direct connection with the religious (that is, communication with the gods). For example ,” How a person appeared” or”How the world appeared”. Of course, when a religion tries to answer a question from a non-religious field (for example, physics or biology), religion fails and looks implausible.
    5. There are malefactors who, under the guise of religions or religious motives, do some dirty tricks. They collect money from people, arrange harems for themselves, blow up in the subway, spray Sarin gas, and arrange mass self-immolations. All this in the mind of an external observer can also go to the piggy bank ” against any religions in general.”
    6. Religions in fact still divide society. It would seem that a person will always find criteria by which to separate their own from others, it can be skin color, height, weight, hobbies, political position. And religion also falls into this piggy bank.

    Arguments for:

    1. There have always been, are and will always be people who need religion. There's nothing you can do about it. It is better to have them centralized and transparent, so that all non-religious people can see what the religious people are doing there, than everyone will make their own religion, to the extent of their depravity.
    2. Historically, there are religions that have helped the development of society both socially and technically.
    3. Historically, there have been religions that have encouraged parts of humanity to consolidate around themselves.
    4. Religions seek to answer questions that no field of science, including philosophy, can answer: “Why are we all here?”,” Is there an afterlife?”,”How can we make it better for us to exist here and in the afterlife?”.
    5. There are people who were pushed by religion to do all sorts of good things like charity, saving lives and other nishtyaks.
    6. Religion was originally created by an archaic society as a survival tool. In ancient times, a person made every effort for the survival of society, to commit some kind of self-indulgence simply because such a person did not have the opportunity. Anthropologists are now studying the most ancient elements of religions, finding that various tricks, such as joint rites, sacrifice, and cosmogony simply helped to survive. In fact, religion is now doing the same thing. Having removed religions, we will return to some chaos, because if religion were not needed by society, it would die out as unnecessary itself, like, for example, such important things for an archaic person as the institute of blood feud. Which disappeared, among other things, due to religions (but mainly due to the transition to the judicial system).

Religious ethics is very developed both theoretically and practically, the religious solution to the problem of the origin of life is very close to the true one, religion has a huge unrealized potential.

AGAINST-a harmful struggle against science and good scientific education, the behavior of believers leaves much to be desired.

I will name only 1 argument. It's enough, in my opinion. Religion is the school of life after death. And by and large: after the death of this world, after the end of the world.

“Pro”: religion prepares for life outside of matter (which everyone has in potential – in the inner world).

“Against”: striving for the future distracts from the “daily bread” of current problems, which also need to be taken care of.

Therefore, in youth, a person who tries to establish himself in this world is an atheist. And the closer to the cemetery, the closer to the temple.

But, as they say, the sea is hidden. Therefore, prayers should begin to be taught in youth – as long as the memory is good.

I won't talk about all religions, because there are so many of them, and one religion is the opposite of another.

I will only say about Christianity:

    behind:

    1. According to Christian teaching, a person receives salvation of the soul.

    2. Christians try to live a little better than atheists, because the Bible teaches us to live according to the Word of God.

    3. Christian countries are more developed and civilized, where human rights are respected, where the standard of living is much higher than in other countries.

    4. It was Christianity that brought civilization and development to this world.

    5. Christian countries like the United States look after order in the world, as if they are the world's gendarme, and if some dictator starts up, they deal with him.

(There are no disadvantages to Christianity, so I won't write them).

I'll write down the disadvantages of an atheist society:

    1. Atheism does not provide for the morality of society, which means complete licentiousness and permissiveness.

    2. Atheism always prohibits religions (unlike Christianity, which does not prohibit atheists).

    3. All atheist countries are poor, dictatorial, communist, underdeveloped, third world countries, and there is no such thing as human rights.

    4. Atheists always kill or put in gulags all those who disagree with their political system (in contrast to Christian democracy, where everyone is free to have any political opinion or opinion).

    5. Dictatorial communist atheist countries always contain various terrorists all over the world, so that the world is constantly committed terrorist attacks and the seizure of power by communists.

Ironically, the greatest loss of life occurred in the era of atheism… is atheism also a religion?
Someone shares faith and religion, what came from God and what it turned into the servants of the cult. And people are ready to defend their opinion and traditions of their ancestors to the death.
