The philosophy of Heraclitus is usually reduced to the principle of the Pantheon – “everything flows”.
He really believed that the world is changing, constantly in motion and in struggle. Hence his famous saying “we enter the same river twice and do not enter it”.
Fire or Logos plays an important role in his model of the world. Fire itself for Heraclitus is the beginning, but not so much as an element, but as a metaphor (there is no fire without movement).
And, of course, he is essentially the first dialectician – he talked a lot about the turnover of things, contradictions and relativity of context. For example, people like gold, but donkeys prefer hay. Or what destroys a healthy person can help a sick person. etc.
