I already wrote in my answer to the questionWhy did Jesus go to Hell? about a certain theological concept, according to which Christ preached the Gospel (the Good News of salvation) to all people who died in previous centuries. Whether or not to accept this concept is a personal matter. I don't have another answer yet.
Yes, there was no living Jesus, but there was a folk tale for Jews, where there was a Jewish pagan god of Sabaoth (aka Yahweh) and his son Jesus, who agreed with him in everything.
“Where did Jesus Christ go after his death to hell or heaven?”
What makes you think he's dead?”
In the Gospel of Matthew there are such verses::
39 But he answered and said to them, ” An evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign, and no sign will be given to it, except the sign of Jonah the prophet.”;
40 For as Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights, so the Son of man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.”
“Like Jonah” means like Jonah. And what do we see here like Jonah?
Jonah was in the belly of the whale, and the biblical Jesus was in the belly of the earth. Jonah was in the belly of the whale for three days and three nights, and the biblical Jesus was in the belly of the earth for two nights and one day. The only similarity to Jonah is the prolonged presence of the biblical Jesus in a confined space. Here we come to the most interesting part: Was Jonah alive or dead when the whale first met him, when the whale swallowed him, when the whale swallowed him, when he was in the whale's belly, and when the whale released him?.. According to the unanimous opinion of theologians of the three religions (Islam, Judaism, Christianity), the Prophet Yunus (Jonah), peace be upon him, wasalive in all these stages. If, according to the biblical sign, the biblical Jesus is “like Jonah,” then he was also alive in all stages: before burial, during burial, in the belly of the earth, and after being released from the belly of the earth. If the biblical Jesus was alive in all these stages, then he ascended to heaven without tasting death. By this I mean that according to the biblical texts, the biblical Jesus did not die, and did not die at all: neither on the cross, nor in the earth, nor anywhere else. If he did not die and did not die, then he did not rise and did not rise again. But this is all about the biblical Jesus.
And what about the true Jesus, the Prophet ‘Isa (PBUH)?
Allah Almighty said in the Holy Qur'an::
“and they said: “Indeed, we killed the Messiah' Isa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allah.” However, they did not kill him or crucify him, and it only seemed to them. Those who dispute about it are in doubt and do not know anything about it, but only follow assumptions. They didn't really kill him (or kill him with confidence). /// Oh no! It was Allaah who raised him up to Himself, and Allaah is All-mighty, All-wise.”(Surah 4 “Women”, verses 157, 158).
The true Jesus, the Prophet ' Isa (peace be upon him), was brought to Him alive by Allah. That is, ‘Isa, peace be upon him, has not yet tasted death. But Allah, the Most High, said in the Holy Qur'an:”Every soul will taste death, and then you will be returned to Us. “(Surah 29 “Spider”, verse 57). So the death of ‘Isa, peace be upon him, is yet to come, and he will taste it after the second coming.
Christ the God-man. His divine nature is eternal and immortal. But by human nature, He died, and then rose again.
And before he died he said to the penitent robber:
Luke 23: 43: “Truly I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
But before that, He descended into the universal grave of mankind (Sheol), from which He brought out the souls of the righteous and repentant sinners (see 1 Peter 3:28-20).
But, of course, hell and paradise will be revealed in their fullness after the general resurrection.
Where is Jesus now? After his death on the pillar of torment, he was resurrected and ascended to heaven
Acts 2: 31 He went beforeHe said about the resurrection of Christ that His soul was not left in hell, and His flesh did not see corruption.32 This Jesus God raised up, of which we are all witnesses.33 Being therefore exalted by the right hand of God, and having received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, he poured out these things which you now see and hear.)
Heb 1: 3…he sat at the right hand of the greatness on high,
Fp 2: 9-11. 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth, 11 and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.)
What Jesus is doing there is another matter.)
Christ is the second Hypostasis of the Trinity. God in the flesh. He Himself created heaven and hell, and therefore could not “get anywhere”. He accomplished on the cross the work of saving the people who believe in Him. Then He descended into hell (Sheol) in the Spirit to bring out the souls of the righteous of the Old Testament, who are in the “bosom of Abraham”, as the ancient Orthodoxy and the Apostolic Creed in particular tell us. Those whom He redeemed, He brought out from there and brought into His Kingdom. That is, after hell, He ascended to His Father with His chosen ones, so that the Father would receive Him and give Him full right and all authority in heaven and on earth. God the Father accepts His sacrifice, raises Him up (which is evidence of His justification and the Church), and Christ appears 40 days to His disciples to show victory over hell and death, and bring them the good news (Gospel) of their perfect salvation. Then He ascends to the Father to reign forever and ever. In the future, He will come to earth at His second coming to judge the living and the dead.
He came a second time, as promised, i.e. was born again and died again and was born again and died again, etc., as he taught during his lifetime in accordance with his doctrine of the transmigration of souls (called lord-gods, grains of wheat, mustard seeds, etc.) from dying old bodies (called old Adams in the scriptures) to new bodies (called new Adams) (the process of reincarnation is mistakenly interpreted by the church as the resurrection of corpses and the last judgment) (See John.8:51-59; 9.3-4.; 1 Corinthians 15: 21; 35-49) and many others.
