In any case, there must be a systematic and thoughtful approach. You need to decide on the input data – what are you going to learn and why? What do you want to achieve and get in the end? What are the deadlines for this and other additional requirements? Based on this, you plan the learning process at different levels – training course/year/month/week/day. You should have a clear plan of what you want to do and when, and how to do it. Plans often don't come true, don't work, and are adjusted, but this is no reason not to make them. Planning helps you understand the situation, organize your knowledge, and clear up your thoughts. Planning should set real goals that can be “touched” in order to assess the effectiveness of work and the achievement of the goal. For example, the overall goal may be to obtain a bachelor's or master's degree in a particular specialty. And the goal for the day is to prepare a specific task for a specific subject and get the right grade or the right skill / knowledge. You should not set goals like “be the best”, “fully understand subject X”, etc. – such goals are vague and overly ambitious at the initial stage of planning.
Then there is the item “how to study”. The question is vague and extensive, but I will somehow try to generalize.
motivationAt first,. If you have already made a plan, as I recommended, and know what to do and most importantly – why?, then there should be no problems with motivation. If for you training is a punishment, then you should think carefully about who is to blame for this? Maybe you don't need it after all? Or are you self-sabotaging?
Secondly, comfort. Create the most comfortable learning environment for you. Everything is important – the room temperature, lighting, noise level, comfortable clothes and working tools (for example, you can work on a PC more easily than on a tablet or write on paper). If the situation allows, you can work with music, for example.
Third, time management. Calculate what kind of work (training) will take you how long. Do not work for a long time without a break, especially if the work is difficult and / or monotonous. Do not force yourself through “I can't”. It is better to alternate work periods with rest, so it will be morally and physically easier for you, and the quality of work is higher. Do not work at night, during holidays and weekends. So you can burn out emotionally and earn overwork.
Fourth, with this experience, you will gain an understanding of how you better assimilate information. For example, I am a pronounced visual artist. To understand the information well, I need to see it written in words on the media and visualized with pictures, graphs, etc. If you need to understand a large amount of material, I reduce it to the maximum, write a summary, where I leave only the main thing. it helps to capture the essence, and not to be sprayed on “water”. Someone else is better able to catch by ear or something else. Try to diversify the learning process and be creative, especially if your teacher has problems with this. Be able to interest yourself, if other people do not want to develop this in you. When it comes to school, many of the items on my list are also partly on the shoulders of your parents.
Fifth, the ability to work with information. This is a continuation of the previous paragraph. It is very important to be able to search for and organize information, to isolate its essence. Just like that, you can't learn it right away, practice gives you a lot here. Well, to help you get tips from people who can tell you about specific tools applicable to a specific topic, specifics. Let's say you can recommend specific websites, books, information processing methods, etc. In general, don't be afraid to ask for advice from those who are smarter and/or more experienced than you. You need to be able to learn from other people's mistakes and achievements. You can't think of everything yourself, avoid mistakes, etc., and it's also a waste of time and effort that can be used more effectively.
The ability to work with information is a fundamental principle that will help in any business, even when working with data that you do not understand. It will be easier for you, because there is a general plan for how to deal with any information.
