I can only tell you about my experience. I'm well into my fifties. I've been living without a sense of smell for the last twenty years. For the first five years, I spent a huge amount of time and money on doctors, surgeries, medicines, etc. All in vain… Mb unfortunately, and mb and to joy. Very rarely, when I lose 20 kg of weight (although I'm not fat, but dense…) I do not drink alcohol for a long time, I regularly do sports and breathing exercises, and my sense of smell is very rarely cut through. So what? It's really weird what smells we live in: street, taxi, subway, public transport, surrounding people in the crowd, women perfumed to the point of dizziness, I can go on ad infinitum… You won't believe it…. Such moments are a real test for me and when my sense of smell disappears… Oh, thank God! Finally, I don't feel the things that annoy me… And this, in my opinion, does not affect my lifestyle in any way: I use cologne, but I do not feel it (girls prefer a bitter smell)… fun when I choose a bitter smell in the store (advertising and articles about smells to help me)… I lead an active lifestyle, I have a family, children, travel, work as a manager… Try to accept it and adapt to live in these conditions. Believe my 20 years of experience: NOTHING terrible happens! You can live with it!!! Live and be happy!!! Try it!!! Go ahead!!! Good luck, wisdom and peace of mind!!!

First of all, if this has happened to you, I am very sorry for you. There are hardly any positive words for this. If it is difficult for you, do not hesitate to seek psychological help.

Secondly, the sense of smell, in addition to the ability to enjoy, has an evolutionarily very clear signaling function. Therefore-housing without a gas pipeline, good wiring, electrical appliances with an automatic power-off system to prevent fires, buying only fresh food and cosmetics with normal expiration dates, avoiding perfumes (except for those that you are sure that you do not care, and others/relatives may be pleased), detergents and detergents without perfumes, the same applies to deodorants. If you are suddenly young, then you should avoid companies with indistinct contents of glasses and roll-ups, I think. Well, or stay with trusted friends – in order to avoid surprises.
