Usually, a dream is called something global, practical or difficult to achieve, but for life. The desire is more immediate and can change several times a day.
However, even from dreams and desires, if they are really important, you can make a clear goal with adequate deadlines. Then they will become not just thoughts, but cool achievements in your life)

Your wishes can lead to the fulfillment of a cherished dream. Desires encourage you to perform actions that can make your dream come true. Therefore, desires are the means to achieve a dream.

In fact, a dream and a wish are no different. A person wants something that he cannot do himself, that he is not capable of, he is forced to wait for an opportunity, an option. A dream is when you have already given up waiting for an opportunity, it seems to have frozen, but it has not gone anywhere, it is an unrealized desire.
The task has another category. When we turn a desire into a task, we find out what we need to do in order to implement it, how the task works (we understand the current state of affairs and the final result and see that there is a certain distance between them. This distance is two speeds-turning data into a tool that you will use (the principle for example can be used, the device if you understand can be used) and actually you go and do using your tool). For example, you need to grind coffee beans. You take a coffee grinder tool and twist it. also, in any task you need to become a financier/doctor/scientist/linguist, etc. you are aware of the final result, what properties your plan should have, and then you are aware of how you can implement it. For example, if you buy a diploma, you will not become a specialist, you will not be able to perform tasks accordingly, but you will be called so. If you want not to be called, but to be one, then you take some adapters (principles) to gain abilities, train, clarify devices, differences, and so on, and work on yourself, competing today with yourself yesterday. and then you will never be a psycho, because you are able to fulfill any desire just by setting it as a task. it is already more difficult with the way you will implement it, there are certain multi-applicable principles for this. In the martial arts, a person was raised to be a scholar, wise, intelligent, head and shoulders above any soldier, able to find an effective solution and do it yourself. -
First, there is a desire to have something or achieve something. desire is the primary urge. If this greed remains soaring in the clouds, then it threatens to turn into a pipe dream.
But if this dream is fixed as a target, then you need to hit it, it becomes a goal. All you need to do is make a scope and draw a map of the route to reach your goals. A route is a step-by-step approach to achieving small goals.
So we break the big goal down into small easily achievable goals and turn them into tasks.
Everyone went to complete these tasks! ))))

You can fulfill your wish at any time. For example, if you wanted ice cream, you went and bought it. A dream is a little different. As an example, I can cite the purchase of a house. You can't afford it right now, can you?

It seems to me that the difference is rather in the subjects))Romantic idealists have dreams.Pragmatists-realists have desires. If you want your dream to come true, turn it into a wish
My humble opinion . A dream is something so “unattainable” that it is far away, but you dream, think about it and go to your dream . And here the point is not in the final goal , but in the movement . As for desire , you can desire anything , and if you try to do something for it, you will achieve the satisfaction of your desire .
ALVINA, desire is about Need. When we formulate our desire, it means that we have realized some Need of our own (for example: “Should we go to a restaurant?!” – the need to satisfy hunger, get pleasure and care, because “they will bring and take away, and there is no need to cook”).
A dream is something more rational (well thought out), a displacement of desire (postponing the satisfaction of a need for a longer or indefinite period), for example: “I dream of my own plane! (but I won't do anything to make it happen.) After all, a dream is something that should NOT come true (if the dream comes true, then it will NO longer be a dream).
It is not forbidden to dream at all, it is really not harmful and even useful to dream, but you should also think about your desires, that is, about satisfying your needs.
