    Pedantry orPedantry (Latin paedagogans — teacher, French pédant — teacher) — a quality of personality that provides for extreme accuracy and accuracy in any human actions; excessive tendency to comply with formal requirements, rules, etc.

  2. In my opinion, perfectionism is a search for flaws. The desire to make something perfect. While pedantry is a special attention to detail.
