I also don't recall the source, most likely some popular book or movie in its time. But even so-not literally, so perhaps this is not a quote, but my interpretation: “You can never understand what is worth living for-if there is nothing worth dying for.”
This is a very difficult question. I'm quite old. And I've read and listened to so many inspirational things in my life that it's not easy to choose just one thing. And when you read and listen a lot, you soon begin to see what lies behind inspiring speeches and quotes. Willingly or unwittingly, you begin to see the purposes with which words are written or spoken. And for these purposes, it is very rare to find inspiration.
But as far as the question of sound perception is concerned, there is one phenomenon that still immerses me in a state of”wise calm”. It's the sound of the forest. This infinitely wide, bottomless sound plunges into a state of clarity, understanding, harmony. There are so many quotes that all mankind could not dream of! There's so much inspiration and confidence there that many of my difficult cases seem like nothing!
Honestly, it's hard to choose =)
At different stages of life, different words of different prominent people were meaningful in their own way. Some of them lost their former inspirational meaning over time, but new ones appeared…
Perhaps I can call these words of Jung's powerful and inspiring right now:
“When the internal situation is not realized, it manifests itself from the outside, like fate”
It is impossible to choose the STRONGEST out of all the accumulated experience, because everyone is strong in their own way, if it is at the right time and place. Sometimes silence can say much more than the most correct and beautiful phrase.
“Despair is most often the result of inaction.”
Not what I've heard, not that” the most powerful and inspiring”; but for the last 20 years, no, no, and I remember this phrase from Jim Ron, the teacher of that Tony Robbins.
“Our Father! You who are in Heaven..”
It's just that we humans don't fully realize how complex and dangerous the world is beyond the cradle.
And we are glad that there is an opportunity to call a parent. My father.
A quote. It is attributed to who Bandera, who Che Guevara, depending on their beliefs. “Nothing can stop an idea whose time has come.” Everyone suffocating in an authoritarian society should remember that when the time comes and the idea matures, nothing will help the enemies. One hundred hundred pieces of unanimously adopted laws, courts, riot police, national guards, trollbots and propagandists – all this will collapse in a moment, it never happened otherwise and will not happen again. Whether you will survive to this point is a moot point, there are possible options. But we must try, and bring the moment closer, and live to see it.
A Holocaust survivor's grandmother's message to Israeli schoolchildren: “If someone promises to kill you, believe them.”
“Life is a chess game with God. God will win, no matter on which turn.”

“I” woke up to “severe pain”all over my body. I “opened my eyes and” saw a nurse standing by”my bed.
“Mr. Fujima,” she said, ” you are lucky to have survived the bombing of Hiroshima two days ago. But”now you're” in ” the hospital, you're not in any danger anymore.
Almost alive with “weakness,” I asked:
– Where am I?
“Nagasaki,” she said.”
Alan E. Mayer “Bad Luck”
Every nation deserves its own ruler.

What a waste. How many years have passed, and still relevant:( This is particularly sad for our country.
“How do I motivate myself to do something? Yes, in any case-stay in the ass.” They say that Artemy Lebedev said. It's a rough word, but it hits the nail on the head. Neither add nor subtract.
I've seen the following quote in English, so the translation is mine:
Don't believe just because the sages say so. Don't believe it just because it's always been like this. Don't believe just because others believe it. Experience and experience for yourself!
