Youth is the period of a person's life from adolescence to adulthood. In youth, a person is most healthy, efficient and mentally active.
This is what concerns biological youth, something that we can read in a dictionary or encyclopedia, but this, of course, is completely different.
In a philosophical sense, youth is a state of mind, a positive and caring attitude to life. A person becomes old not because he has lived for some years, but because there is no interest in what is happening around, when nothing is needed, just to keep everyone behind. When the familiar becomes more expensive than learning new things, when the old courage gives way to timidity, and the love of comfort overcomes the desire for adventure.
Young is the one who is surprised and admired. Like an insatiable child, he keeps asking: “What's next?”, rushing to meet events and finding joy in the game of life.
Once I read a poem by Alexander Rosenbaum, which is forever etched in my memory. Every time I talk about my youth and age, I think of him.
Here it is
Stay always young. At least in the shower 🙂
