To begin with, I want to mention the fact that previously a charismatic person = a person who was gifted by God.
I believe that only a person with an inner core can be charismatic (a good idea, but it sounds strange).
Almost all rulers have the charisma to control the masses (Stalin, Lenin)
A freak is just a person with a defiant appearance/behavior that causes only disgust, but not respect and authority (the guy who is pumped with synthol)
Where is the line between warm and soft? A charismatic person is a person with whom it is warm and pleasant, who does not violate or touch the boundaries of others. Freaks are often unconsciously(or consciously) other people's borders catch on, attract attention, and cause reactions, including aggressive ones. These are completely unrelated concepts.
Sometimes freaks are charismatic, but this is not due to their freakiness, but rather in spite of it.
From the answers, it can be seen that everyone gives their own definition of freakishness and charisma. Apparently, now these are emotional concepts, without a specific clear logic.
My version:
Freakiness – the behavior and style of a person is noticeably different from the usual majority. Sometimes these differences are specifically emphasized.
Charisma is a special quality of a person that causes special trust in others, a desire to communicate, do something together, perceive voiced ideas, empathize, follow this person. Charisma can be sexual, leadership, power, trust charisma, professional, expert, acting, and so on.
