  1. I don't pretend to be an expert, but if you think from a biological point of view, then the tail of the ego is a counterweight, as well as a maneuvering tool for various birds. In addition, the tail can also be a support or an additional limb that can be used to grab onto something, in the case of primates or some types of reptiles.

For amphibians and creatures that live exclusively in water, the tail plays a similar role to birds, they can use it both for maneuvering and increasing speed during swimming.

For animals, again, the tail often plays the role of a counterweight and a tool for maneuvering during pursuit (predators) or, conversely, rescue from predators.

As for the philosophical component of this cartoon, in my opinion, we are talking about the fact that everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, which make us unique. The vulture has wings, the ostrich has legs, and the lizard has a tail. Actually, every character (or almost everyone) at the end of the cartoon understands this and goes their own way

On the other hand, it may have a different meaning. Namely, that the tail, as a certain symbol of support, helps to stand firmly on your feet, thereby revealing additional opportunities and paths in life. The tail, of course, is not real, but rather allegorical, which can be interpreted in different ways. This can be a belief in yourself, and help from outside, and a clear position in life.
