It seems to be eternal by definition. Therefore, it seems to me that he has simply become very old, decrepit, that he does not even have the strength left to fight the blasphemers. But what a swashbuckler he was a couple of thousand years ago. Torrents of sulfur and stones, epidemics of terrible diseases-and all this for the slightest offense of their own slaves.
