  1. If we are talking about the whole world, then before the advent of Christianity (I century AD), a huge number of religious teachings arose, many of which still exist today. These are, first of all, Buddhism (Siddhartha Gautama-Buddha, who lived and preached about 600 years before Jesus), Judaism, Hinduism, as well as two Chinese religious and philosophical teachings: Confucianism and Taoism. The Sumerians, Assyrians, Phoenicians, and ancient Romans had their own religious beliefs (their religion was significantly influenced by ancient Greek, but they still should not be identified) – this is not a complete list of the developed civilizations of pre-Christian Eurasia known to us. And, of course, the inhabitants of Central and South Africa and pre-Columbian America-another thing is that we know much less about them.
