I want to become a 2d artist. Where to start, what books to read? Perhaps there are good youtube channels with the very basics of drawing.
I'll tell you right away-the skills are zero. Should I buy a drawing tablet, or should I limit myself to paper and pencil for now? Or go straight to Photoshop to get used to it?
Books are unlikely to help. You need to see the process itself. Then it will be more or less clear what to do. I can recommend a great site for sketches, watercolors and gouache. There are interesting videos. It's here
