The paintings of famous artists are determined by means of art criticism expertise.
It doesn't just take into account specific brushstrokes, general appearance, captions, or special signs (similar to modern watermarks). Both the material and the composition of the paint are taken into account. In some cases, a complete analysis of the painting's coloring pigment into chemical components may also be useful. Even the best-quality copy will not be able to repeat exactly the original picture. The chemicals that make up the paint may have changed over time, or only certain paints were used by the artist.
