Plato brought to light from the depths of thinking an intuitive construct that is still hidden in the minds of most people-that words are labels for objectively existing phenomena, that there is some kind of, say, bravery in itself, in isolation from us, and we can correctly or incorrectly call something bravery and this correctness has a transcendent character, regardless of how we agreed among ourselves to understand the word “bravery”. But Plato is allowed, he was a pioneer, but modern people should be a little ashamed to lag behind him and not reflect on how they think.
